This 1950s shield was hastily pressed back into service sometime around 2007. Note the brand new bolts! The town of Middlebury peeled off the old legend, keeping just the number. Unfortunately, at night, old Scotchlite is no longer reflective, yielding a less than useful highway marker. Photo by Levente Jakab and Daniel Brim, 4/27/2008.
