Exit 31 serves Broadway Blvd. Just past the overhead sign, lane markings can be seen on the pavement to denote which lanes continue as IH-610 and which ones exit to IH-45 – this is a common feature at Houston freeway interchanges. Photo taken July 16, 2006.

The former home of Astroworld was just south of IH-610, across from the Astrodome. The park closed in 2005 due to Six Flags' financial troubles, lack of parking and high land values. The park has since been dismantled but some of the shuttered rides could still be seen from IH-610 when these pictures were taken. Photo taken November 2, 2005.
