Ramps from both Cesar Chavez Street and West 6th Street combine under the Loop 1 mainline off-ramp to Enfield Road. Newfield Lane, the east side frontage road, continues north to Enfield Road for the Enfield neighborhood and the Westfield and Tarrytown communities of central Austin. 09/29/07
A short distance beyond the Enfield Road ramps is the parclo interchange with Windsor Road. Windsor Road serves north Enfield and Westfield neighborhoods nearby. Windsor Road becomes West 24th Street to the east at Lamar Boulevard en route to the University of Texas campus. 09/29/07

Loop 1 (MoPac Expressway) north enters the diamond interchange with Westover Road. Westover Road stems west from Northwood Road to Exposition Boulevard. Northwood Road travels east to Woolridge Drive in the north Enfield neighborhood. 09/29/07
Continuing north toward the three-quarter cloverleaf interchange with West 35th Street on Loop 1. West 35th Street, in conjunction with 38th Street, provides a through route between IH 35, the MoPac Expressway, and Lake Austin. 09/29/07
The Northwood Road on-ramp forms an auxiliary lane to West 35th Street on Loop 1 north. 35th Street travels west to Exposition Boulevard along the boundary of Camp Mabry (Texas National Guard). The road ends at Lake Austin south of the Mount Bonnell Terrace neighborhood. 09/29/07
A sharp ramp departs Loop 1 north for West 35th Street. The off-ramp intersects 35th Street opposite Jackson Avenue north. 35th Street east splits with 38th Street before Shoal Creek. 38th Street continues east through the Hyde Park neighborhood to Duval Street and IH 35. 09/29/07

Approaching the West 45th Street off-ramp on the northbound Mopac Expressway. 45th Street turns into Horseshoe Bend at Camp Mabry, leading north to Perry Lane and Highland Terrace at the Balcones Park neighborhood. Eastward, 45th Street travels by the Great Oaks community into Hyde Park. 09/29/07
The Union Pacific Railroad, formerly the Missouri Pacific Railroad, comes into view at the 45th Street off-ramp. 45th Street travels all the way to Airport Boulevard at its interchange with Interstate 35 and U.S. 290. 09/29/07
Passing over West 45th Street, Loop 1 continues to within 0.75 miles of RM 2222 (Northland Drive). RM 2222 meanders westward through the Northwest Hills area to Loop 360 (Capital of Texas Highway) at Shepherd Mountain. The road continues from there northwest to Four Points. 09/29/07
A parclo interchange joins Loop 1 with RM 2222 (Northland Drive). RM 2222 east follows Allandale Drive across Shoal Creek at the Allandale community. East of there, RM 2222 turns southeast along Koenig Lane to the U.S. 290 freeway at Airport Boulevard. 09/29/07
Attached to the Hancock Drive overpass is an interchange sequence sign for RM 2222 at Allandale, Far West Boulevard at Highland Hills and Anderson Lane at Balcones West. 09/29/07
A two lane off-ramp leaves the Mopac Expressway northbound for Northland Drive. RM 2222 utilizes a short freeway from Airport Boulevard to IH 35 and U.S. 290. That spur was built in anticipation of a freeway corridor planned for Koeing Lane. The original freeway was cancelled in the 1960s and resurrected in planning later, but again defeated in 1994. Neighborhood opposition resisted both plans.1 09/29/07
Next in line for northbound travelers is the diamond interchange for Far West Boulevard at the Highland Hills community. Far West Boulevard travels west from Loop 1 to Mesa Drive and the Cat Mountain North community. 09/29/07
The Union Pacific Railroad shifts from the median of the MoPac Expressway to the right side of SL 1. An interchange sequence sign references the Far West Boulevard off-ramp at one quarter mile out. 09/29/07

Half mile overhead for Anderson Lane east and Spicewood Springs Road west on the northbound MoPac Expressway. Anderson Lane travels southeast to Northcross Mall and U.S. 183 (Research Boulevard) at Loop 275 (Lamar Boulevard). 09/29/07
U.S. 183 (Research Boulevard) appears on MoPac Expressway northbound signage for the first time on this interchange sequence sign south of the Anderson Lane. U.S. 183 becomes part of Anderson Lane east of Lamar Boulevard. 09/29/07
Spicewood Springs Road continues Anderson Lane northwest from the MoPac Expressway to Mesa Drive and Loop 360 (Capital of Texas Highway). Spicewood Springs Road sees another section of roadway north from the Capital of Texas Highway to U.S. 183 (Research Boulevard) in Williamson County. 09/29/07
Just north of Anderson Lane is the departure of the Steck Avenue off-ramp. Steck Avenue serves the Allandale Estates and Balcones West neighborhood areas on its drive between Burnet Road and Mesa Drive. SL 1 continues 0.75 miles to U.S. 183 (Research Boulevard) otherwise. 09/29/07
A large symmetrical stack interchange joins Loop 1 and U.S. 183. U.S. 183, upgraded from a surface boulevard into an elevated freeway, stems northwest from Interstate 35 to the city of Cedar Park in Williamson County. The name Research Boulevard is derived from the nearby University of Texas - J.J. Pickle Research Center. 09/29/07
Three lanes ascend from the northbound MoPac Expressway onto flyover ramps for U.S. 183 (Research Boulevard). U.S. 183 overall joins the city of Austin with Austin-Bergstrom International Airport (AUS) and Mustang Ridge in south Travis County with Cedar Park and Leander in Williamson County. 09/29/07
Departing from within the Loop 1 exchange with U.S. 183 (Research Boulevard) is the northbound off-ramp for Loop 360 (Capital of Texas Highway) and Braker Lane. The Mopac Expressway frontage road system links with both roads and the nearby research center. 09/29/07

Northbound at the Braker Lane and Loop 360 off-ramp. Loop 360 begins ahead and follows the Capital of Texas Highway, a varying surface arterial and expressway, west around the city of Austin to West Lake Hills. Braker Lane meanwhile serves the J.J. Pickle Research Center to the east on its alignment between U.S. 183 and Dessau Road near IH 35. 09/29/07
Drivers merging onto the northbound MoPac Expressway are provided with the option of joining the Loop 1 frontage road ahead of Loop 360 and Braker Lane. 09/29/07
Leaving the symmetrical stack interchange with U.S. 183 (Research Boulevard), Loop 1 nears the Loop 360 (Capital of Texas Highway) overpass by the J.J. Pickle Research Center. An interchange sequence sign lists the final two off-ramps of the MoPac Expressway. 09/28/07
Attached to the Braker Lane overpass is the 0.75 mile overhead for FM 1325 (Burnet Road). FM 1325 follows Burnet Road south to the JJ Pickle Research Center and the U.S. 183 (Research Boulevard) frontage roads. Burnet Road continues south from there to the Northcross Mall area. 09/28/07
Loop 1 northbound next spans a Union Pacific Railroad. Merging traffic forms an auxiliary lane for FM 1325 (Burnet Road) south and Duval Road west. Duval Road stems west from the FM 1325 merge onto the Mopac Expressway frontage roads to the Mesa Park neighborhood of the city. 09/28/07
Loop 1 at the slip ramp onto the northbound frontage road for FM 1325 (Burnet Road south) and Duval Road west. FM 1325 continues north alongside the MoPac Expressway frontage roads. 09/28/07
Loop 1 passes underneath Duval Road / Burnet Road one half mile south of the FM 734 (Parmer Lane) off-ramp. The Parmer Lane exit serves the Lamplight Village and Walnut Crossing neighborhoods of north Austin. 09/28/07
Parmer Lane carries all of FM 743 from U.S. 290 near Manor east of Austin to the north suburb of Cedar Park. Parmer Lane constitutes a divided surface arterial. Drivers utilizing the off-ramp merge onto the adjacent FM 1325 ahead of the Cedar Bend Drive entrance into the Village at Walnut Creek area. 09/28/07
Loop 1 (MoPac Expressway) passes underneath Parmer Lane and approaches the Scofield Ridge Parkway off-ramp. Scofield Ridge Parkway travels east from FM 1325 and the MoPac Expressway to Howard Lane through suburban neighborhoods of north Austin. 09/28/07
Loop 1 transitions into Toll 1 beyond the off-ramp to Scofield Ridge Parkway. This marks the end of the MoPac Expressway, a free route, and the beginning of the Central Texas Turnpike System network. Scofield Parkway otherwise merges with Howard Lane west of Metric Boulevard and IH 35. 09/28/07
