Nevada 427

Routing

Nevada 427 follows Old U.S. 40 from Interstate 80 Exit 43 east to Alternate U.S. 50 and Alternate U.S. 95 in downtown Fernley. Nevada 427 is designated as Main Street. Business Loop I-80 follows the eastern portion of Nevada 427 from Interstate 80 Exit 46through Fernley.

Signs for Exit 43 along Interstate 80 east refer to "Wadsworth and Pyramid Lake." Signs for Exit 46 along Interstate 80 east refer to "ALT U.S. 95" to Fernley, but Exit 46 does not actually interchange with Alternate U.S. 95. Instead, Exit 46 connects with Nevada 427 and Business Loop I-80/Main Street, and one must drive those routes to make the actual connection to Alternate U.S. 95 south. Staying on the freeway until Exit 48 is not as direct as Exit 46 for the link to U.S. 95A south.
