U.S. Highway 70 - New Mexico

U.S. 70 was upgraded to a freeway from Las Cruces (junction Interstate 25) to Organ east of the city. The four-lane highway mainly serves expanding suburbs on the eastward drive to Organ and White Sands Missile Range.

U.S. 70 follows Interstate 10 from Exit 22 at Lordsburg east to Exit 135 (Picacho Avenue) in west Las Cruces. The overlap is unsigned along the freeway mainline. For more on the highway, see Steve Riner's Unofficial New Mexico Highways Page.
