I flew into Edmonton for the weekend (Friday-Sunday) of September 9th, as that is one of two annual peaks for the northern lights.<\/p>\n<p>Did I see the northern lights? In the interest of maintaining suspense, I&#8217;m not going to say quite yet.<\/p>\n<p><a href=\"https:\/\/www.aaroads.com\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/blog_images\/jake\/photos\/DSC_114859A.jpg\"><img class=\"lazyload\" decoding=\"async\" src=\"data:image\/gif;base64,R0lGODlhAQABAAAAACH5BAEKAAEALAAAAAABAAEAAAICTAEAOw==\" data-orig-src=\"https:\/\/www.aaroads.com\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/blog_images\/jake\/photos\/114859.jpg\"><\/a><br \/>\n Sunset. Usually shooting directly into the sun is a bad idea. Yep, they were out. Interesting that the two numbers are patches. Maybe the numbers were something else before?
