Posted our first 2018 road photos to the site this afternoon, updating the guides for the Veterans Expressway (Florida 589)<\/a> north and south. Phase 1 of the Express Lanes were completed on December 9, 2017. They run in both directions from Memorial Highway (Exit 3) to Wilksy Boulevard (Exit 8). Phase 2 remains under construction through this spring. Extending northward from Gunn Highway (Exit 9) to the Suncoast Parkway \/ Veterans Expressway split at Exit 13, work on them is nearly complete, with paving one of the notable operations still underway. The overall Veterans Expressway project started in 2013. It expanded the toll road from four to eight overall lanes.<\/p>\n<\/div>
