Title: Found This On AA Roads FB Page

If this route did exist, where would it go?

If US 50 wasn't a problem, I would say that it should take over I-44 and I-64, making a single longer route.

Is it a problem nowadays with stuff like I-41/US 41?

Especially since I-64 was originally going to use the US 50 route across IL and parts of IN...before getting routed further South between St Louis and Louisville

A combined I-44/64 making I-50 would end up with I-50/US 50 multiplexes in the St Louis area, on I-44 from Union, MO to just passed the I-270 Beltway in MO, and on I-64 from I-255 Beltway to Belleville/Scott Air Force Base in IL

I will make a wild guess and say I-50 picture was taken somewhere in the Sacramento area and the numbers may have been intended to be signed as I-305, I-5 or I-80

That sign is from the shield gallery (//www.aaroads.com/shields/show.php?image=CA19790501), and obviously is a goof for US 50.

The funny thing is that is Fritz won't opine here since this was posted in the General Highway Talk board.  I don't think the guy has ever posted outside of the Fictional Board before.

Hell, I'm just amazed anyone actually remembers that show at all.  Wasn't there some weird race called the Kromaggs or something that could slide also or something?

The bad guys you referenced came along in later seasons.  At that point I think the series jumped the shark.  It was fun to see Roger Daltry doing such a fine job as a Real Bad Guy and doing sliding to save some of the alternate Earth people from the pulsar but Cromags/Kromags?  That was too much and it seemed to get away from the original series themes.

My favorite episode was one I call "The Lottery Of Death", which I believe was officially titled as "Luck Of The Draw".  That alternate timeline society had a better attitude about death, possessions and money than ours did IMO.

Largely redundant to I-40.

Side note: You're in Santa Fe. You see a sign on I-50 pointing you to Las Vegas. How do you know which one it is?

It depends on what direction you're being pointed in.

The grand canyon area has no interstate.

The grand canyon area has no interstate.

But the grand canyon doesn't need an interstate. It's the grand canyon!

The closest we'll ever need is I-40, I-15, I-11, and a possible I-17 extension, all of which keep both a reasonable distance and closeness to it.

If I wanted to go from, say, Santa Fe to Las Vegas, I don't think it would be too ridiculously inconvenient for me to take I-25 to I-40 to US 93 (FUTURE I-11). We don't need another east-west interstate that close to I-40 over there.
