That's exactly how I wanted that to go.  Get a couple laughs in and move on XD

I counted up some stats:

Up to this point, the only letter with no representation is the letter J.  Does anyone know of any towns ending in the letter J?  I think you'd have to go to an Arabic-speaking country to find that.  Consider the list below an insight into the frequency at which place names (and words in general) end with each letter.  There have been 501 posts.

  • A:  60
  • B:  1 (you're welcome)
  • C:  3
  • D:  32
  • E:  80
  • F:  2
  • G:  13
  • H:  17
  • I:  9
  • J:  0
  • K:  23
  • L:  12
  • M:  17
  • N:  73
  • O:  29
  • P:  1
  • Q:  1
  • R:  12
  • S:  39
  • T:  23
  • U:  6
  • V:  1
  • W:  8
  • X:  4
  • Y:  30
  • Z:  5

There are plenty of places that begin with P, F, C, and B, but we haven't found many towns ending in these letters.  I'll probably focus on finding more of these, plus I, V, and W.  I'm surprised we haven't seen more L's.  If you remember from the bonus round of Wheel of Fortune, the 5 most common consonants are R, S, T, L, and N--N is most commonly found at the end of words, and so is E.  There's a TON of N's and E's for that reason.

To be clear, this is a count of the letters that triggered the following post.  So in the case of the A rule, if we went
Aurora > Joliet > Trumbull, the A would be counted and not the J.

The last post was of Youngstown (post an N)

If I happen to check in at the right time on the next L ending, I can still play Lilliwaup.

Actually, H is more common than R or L, but that's mostly because of the word "the" (and to a lesser extent, "that", "this", and "with").

EDIT: Re-use the sign in the post below me when a T comes up.
