What a game. Amazing 4th quarter and overtime.

Wow, both EC semis series go to game 7 and down to the wire!

And the Sixers really just lost to the Hawks, wow.

What about Suns-Clippers in the West? I'm sure no one expected that one.

Eh I think that more people predicted that, I predicted Jazz-Lakers and was totally off.

While I’m not a fan of the Clippers, having the Suns in the conference finals isn’t a bad thing.

But I’m much more excited about the Bucks and Hawks matchup.

I’m just glad it isn’t any of the usual suspects on the conference finals or another slapped together super team.

You could call the Clippers slapped together although they aren't very super with Kahwi out.

Will say KD did exercise some demons by the way he almost willed the Nets to a series win.  Considering what he did, and Harden again not showing up in these moments KD shouldn't be looked at again as someone trying to gain easy titles(or at least not anymore).

Nonetheless, I don’t historically associate the Clippers as anything but one of worst teams consistently in the NBA.

They have been decent over the past decade.

Yes, but think of the frame of reference you’ve seen them in compared to someone twice your age.  The Clippers were by far the worst NBA franchise for a very long time and probably still are in a historic context unless they win a title.

I would say that the worst franchise in nba history is the Hornets or Pelicans.

The Clippers are second to last all time in terms of win percentage only to the Timberwolves:

https://en.m.wikipedia.org/wiki/List_of_all-time_NBA_win–loss_records

The Hornets had some really good teams for a long time in the 1990s but nobody stood a chance when Michael Jordan was active with the Bulls.  The Pelicans were basically a continuation of the Hornets and were semi-successful in the first decade of the 2000s.

Hey, the Clippers are in the Western Finals!

Here's a nice song from 2015 (give it a chance, it's good):

Even if the Clippers won a championship this year I still couldn’t fathom people putting the franchise on level higher than the Suns, Jazz and even the Pacers:

I would put them behind Utah and Phoenix but ahead of Indiana.

The Pacers have historically been competitive for decades and have the thirteenth best winning percentage all time.  How does one Clippers championship surpass that with the second to last winning percentage and the infamy of Donald Sterling?

Always fun seeing posts like this.....shows age of people and when they started watching.  Got laughs with NFL fans when younger ones would talk about 49ers seemingly always stinking and I'd be like "Ever heard of these guys named Montana, Rice, and Walsh?!?"(just to name a few lol

I know about the Clippers stinking for 4 decades but in my lifetime they are probably an average NBA franchise.

The Clippers were always one of Leno's go-to monologue punchlines back in the day.

Second Eastern Conference Finals for Milwaukee in the "Giannis Era".  Trying to moderate my expectations after they came up short the last two seasons, but hey; maybe.

My finals going into this year was Milwaukee and Phoenix. If that is the finals, I am going to win a lot of money for putting $20 on each team.

If the Clippers goes to the finals and win the NBA championship, I wonder if that would bring a bigger impact than the Raptor first championship 2 years ago.

Btw, it's already 50 years ago then the Bucks won their first championship.
