Bucks won the East finals without Giannis, so they'll open the NBA Finals in Phoenix tonight. It could go either way...
Suns will probably win if Giannis doesn't play.

Just fun watching the PR games today with Giannis's status for game 1.  Bucks seem to be doing their darnedest to having people believe he could play(as Bucks fan if reinjury concerns were not an issue that would be great), just don't see him being active for tonight.  Maybe game 2

If he is just trying to play for the short and long term then Giannis should sit tonight.  Have to have doctors say chance of reaggravating or reinjuring in about zero before playing him. Hope for a good game tonight, had enough of seeing internal ESPN drama pop up last couple days

Giannis looks unstoppable, can't believe that his injury was so recently.

Booker's turnover killed the Suns here.

Any team that gives up 79 points in two quarters doesn't deserve to win.  The Suns are completely lost right now.

The Bucks finally got a good game out of their big 3 all at the same time. If that happens again, The Suns have no chance. I gotta admit, I was about ready to turn the game off after the 1st quarter. I was great to see the Bucks come back and dominate the rest of the game. Bucks in 6!

Congrats to the Bucks on winning the NBA Finals.

The Phoenix Suns won the NBA Championship tonight!  It was stolen from us!  The Milwaukee Bucks benefited from biased media and officials.  I demand that the NBA league office audit all scoring from the last 4 games, and award the Championship to the Suns.  :pan: :-D :)

Or, maybe...

The Bucks were who we THOUGHT they were!  If you wanna crown 'em, then CROWN their a$$!  But they are who we thought they were.  And we let 'em off the hook!  :D

Seriously, congrats to the Milwaukee Bucks for their first NBA championship in 50 years.  They earned it, and the Suns just choked the last 4 games.

Bucks in 6, just like we knew all along! It feels so good to have a team from my home state besides the Packers finally put it all together and win it all within my lifetime. So many times, Wisconsin teams (Bucks, Brewers, Badgers, and yes, even the Packers) will get your hopes up and then get so close only to fall short. Not this time! And the Bucks are built to be good for a while yet. The only big contract decisions to be made this offseason are for PJ Tucker and Donte DiVincenzo. All the other core players are signed for at least 3 more years. Bucks in 6 in 2022!

Well, a trend continues for the Suns, as they lose the Finals in six games for the third time. It happened in 1976 (against the Celtics) and 1993 (against the Bulls), and now it's happened against the Bucks. Kind of like how the St. Louis Blues were swept in their first three Stanley Cup Finals before finally winning on the fourth try.

Curse of the Desert, anyone? The Coyotes don't have a Stanley Cup to their name, the Cardinals still haven't won a Super Bowl, and the Diamondbacks' 2001 World Series upset win is now a distant memory.

Giannis is such a great guy, I'm so happy that he got a ring. Also, awkward plane flight to Tokyo for Devin Booker.

More awkward than those weird cardboard anti-sex beds they have in the Olympic Village?

I don’t know, I’ve broken a real bed before so I’m skeptical about how any kind of cardboard will hold up.

Perhaps.....although Giannis is the biggest matchup nightmare in the league at this time.

Do like this years Finals were teams that built themselves more with the old school draft and trades philosophy than going with the super team method that has been popular of late.  Both teams look well positioned for future years if willing to pay luxury tax.  For the Bucks appears Tucker is biggest FA they have going into 2021-2022 season, after that most of their main rotation is signed for next season

They won't, but the NBA ought to do something about this super team nonsense. It's ruining basketball.

This Bucks championship was refreshing in that the team was built largely through drafting and trading. Wish we could see more of these kinds of champions rather than the ego-fest super team champions.
