Giannis is for sure a top 2 player in the NBA

Perhaps.....although Giannis is the biggest matchup nightmare in the league at this time.

Do like this years Finals were teams that built themselves more with the old school draft and trades philosophy than going with the super team method that has been popular of late.  Both teams look well positioned for future years if willing to pay luxury tax.  For the Bucks appears Tucker is biggest FA they have going into 2021-2022 season, after that most of their main rotation is signed for next season

Real easy fix to the superteam problem: use one or a combination of a few of the metrics out there to rank the Top 60 players in the league from the previous season. If you already have two or more of the top 30, you aren't allowed to add any more, and the same if you already have three or more of the top 60. You can retain current players even if that puts/keeps you over the limit.

The NBA simply needs to have the power to veto certain moves such as Kevin Durant to the Warriors, kind of like how they vetoed the Chris Paul trade to the Lakers in 2011.

Or, to incentivize drafting and development, only allow more than two superstars per team if they drafted them originally. Get rid of draft pick protections as well so teams can't be protected from incompetence.

Glad I went out to a bar to watch game 6.  That was fun to be in a crowd of cheering fans for such a momentous game.

On to Tokyo! :P

NBA needs to get rid of max contracts. Lebron gets paid the same as John Wall.

Vetoing certain moves is calls into question the motivation and fairness of the league office. I'm essentially doing the same thing, but putting an objective criteria into place as to when moves should be vetoed.

No thoughts for now. The NBA draft got overshadowed by Olympics basketball this time.

I care way more about the Pistons drafting first then I ever will about Olympic basketball.

Appears George Hill, Rodney Hood, Semi Ojeleye the Bucks are signing to fill bench spots...…..Portis appears to be staying, and PJ Tucker going to Heat.

Glad the core three for the Bucks signed long term and are still young so bench signings are the worst to stress about

The Orlando Magic would like to thank the Raptors for letting them get Jalen Suggs. Franz Wagner is a nice bonus (and they just signed his brother Mo for 2 years).
They've got a ton of young faces and a new coach...roll the dice, boys, and let's see what the young guns got!

Seattle and Las Vegas are the frontrunners for expansion, but Kansas City (where the Kings played before they moved to Sacramento) is now a wildcard, and the Chiefs' QB has expressed interest in owning a team there, per this report:

It was definitely not a forgone conclusion. France had a few good 3 point shooters running high screen roll with 7' 1" Rudy Goubert, which is very hard to defend. It took a strong effort from the US to win.

Knicks raise you Kemba Walker.

I'll always admire Kemba for the 2011 NCAA tournament (yeah, 10 years ago). UConn on the wrong side of the NCAA bubble heading into the BE tournament. Kemba leading the team to 11 straight elimination-game victories and the championship. (And UConn being the villain: everyone else wanted Butler to win.)
