Title: Sign Colors
Post by: deathtopumpkins on April 11, 2009, 10:19:13 PM
Does anyone know the RGB values most DOTs use on signs? Specifically BGS's. I've done a little bit of googling but didn't really come up with anything.

Thanks anyway froggie.

Green is 0, 107, 84 (Pantone 342).  Yes, I memorized that!  Pantone colors can be found here (http://mutcd.fhwa.dot.gov/kno-colorspec.htm).  To convert to RGB, just Google "Pantone to RGB" (http://www.google.com/search?q=Pantone+to+RGB).

Round here, main lines, express lanes and free highways have green signs.

Collector lanes, sub routes, and toll highways have blue signs.

Hope this helps DTP!

Umm... thanks Hal, but that's not really what I was asking.  ;-)
Though I had wondered when blue-vs.-green signs were used up there...
