Simsboro, LA to Pawleys Island, SC...anything I need to know?

This is one of the longest road trips I've made in many years.  I'm getting married in SC and I haven't been on the roads east of Augusta, GA.  I have played around with Google Maps, and this looks like the best route to get there.  Is there anything I need to know about any of these roads or towns I'll be on?   I can't really do alot of road fanning because I will have the bride-to-be and 2 kids in the car, but if anything is along the way, I will be the only one to enjoy it.

you might consider the following for a return trip to vary things:
* Stay on I-20 instead of I-459
* Better yet, go down I-85 to Montgomery and west on US 80
* Definitely try Bypass 521 in Andrews, SC and regular US 301 in Orangeburg.
* Or consider staying on US 521 to US 76 to I-77, I-26, US 1, I-20.
