WNBA is kind of a niche sport.  Not as much of a following as the UConn Women.  I know people who go to games, but it's usually just to take a break from the slots and table games.

Is there a bar that's RedSox/Yankees with a dotted line on the floor?

Are there interesting photo ops along CTFastTrack?

Are there still little shops where you can get really obscure but delicious ethnic food from the grandkids that are still running the business?

Have traffic patterns changed with respect to covid or has it all returned to usual?

Do you sometimes hear Brass Bonanza in random places?

Road-related:
Where in Wethersfield was SR 423?
Where in Middletown was SR 455
Newington SR 523
Portland, SR 616
761, New Britain (in fact there's some more Kensington-area 71/72 history to untangle)
774, Berlin
804, 805, Vernon
810, Hebron
910, Bloomfield
Where in the heck did the CT 286 number come from
(it's worth a shot)

Edit: thanks!

Does anyone ever get a speeding ticket outside of expressways?

jp the roadgeek

1. Have yet to find one.  Just separate bars such as in Wallingford where's there's a Sox and Yanks bar on either side of the train station.

2.  The most interesting road related one would be where you pass near where the unbuilt I-291 would have joined present day CT 9.

3. Broad St in New Britain and Franklin Ave in Hartford if you like Polish and Italian cuisine.  Park St or Albany Ave in Hartford for Hispanic and Jamaican fare.

4. Getting back to normal.  No more 20 minute rides from Windsor to Southington in the 4 PM hour.

5. At other sporting events, plus among your friends.

CT 286: Because it would be a logical extension of CT/MA 186 if it were extended south of CT 190.  It should really be part of an extended CT/MA 21, with existing CT 21 becoming an extended/rerouted CT/MA 193. As for the little east-west stub in Ellington: make it an SR.

My dad got a couple.  Only CT one I ever got was on I-691 when it was still 55.

Do you like left exits?

Is there a single town in CT with a non-British-sounding name?

One thing that is interesting to me about Hartford is that it feels like it's definitely the largest city in CT (it is the largest metro area). Yet it's only 4th largest. When you go to/drive through a mid-sized city like Bridgeport, do you ever think about how it's technically larger than Hartford even though it obviously is not?

Do you like clam pizza? (I think that's a CT thing, right?)

There are lots of Biblical names, too: Gilead, Hebron, Canaan, Goshen, Bethel, Bethany, Bethlehem, Bozrah, Sharon... even a wide spot in the road called "Sodom". (Don't check your rear view when driving through)

Native American names are also plentiful; and there are a handful of Hamburgs, etc. from other parts of Europe.

Also: Canton, named after Guangzhou in China (really).

I'll concur on highway traffic getting back towards pre-pandemic level.  Arguably, it might be a little bit worse, at least in the sense that aggressive driving seems more frequent.

However, on Wednesday, I had to drop by the federal building in downtown Hartford.   This was my first trip to the surface streets of downtown Hartford proper since before the pandemic.   Traffic was certainly down from the before times, and I needn't have bothered to pad as much time as I did to find parking.

Folks from a vendor I frequently communicate with who are based out of the Gold Building are still mostly WFH, even though their office is open for those who want to come in.  I think I saw that Travelers is eventually require staff to come in at least three days a week, although I haven't kept up with when they might start enforcing that edict.
