highway closed due to cracks.  As our infrastructre ages and less money for the future continues, will we see more of this accross the nation?

Think:
I-95 in Philly shutdown
I-35 W
I-95 in CT from 1983
I only take pics of good looking signs. Long live non-reflective button copy!

Definitely, more and more of the corporate elite are feeding from the government trough and our politicians are just tools of these elite. As they concentrate their wealth, they'll be doing it at the expense of our infrastructure. And sooner or later, everything outside of their gated compounds will be in shambles and for what? It's not government that's inefficient, it's a government ruled by the oligarchs that's inefficient. We may whine about it but we can't do much when the common populace is doomed to be wage slaves, to be divided and conquered, brainwashed, marginalized or distracted. Pathetic state of affairs in this country (and in large parts of the world).

Before the tea party folks chime in with their braindead idiocy, infrastructure requires some investment from governments. If governments can't get their fair share from fat cat billionaires and corporations and/or are persuaded to commit their funds for some corporate pet project (let's say selling a toll road to a private corp or selling its parking meters), they will not be able to keep up with existing infrastructure.
