CT consecutive intersections:
...
CT 173 and CT 174
CT 182/182A and CT 183
...

ConnDOT: "See? Nobody cares about CT 176!"

Dirt Roads

The only two I know of in West Virginia are consecutively numbered:

Intersection of WV-32 and US-33 in Harman
Interchange with WV-34 from US-35 between Teays Valley and Winfield

And of course, the latter has moved twice since my days there.  Before the Silver Bridge disaster, WV-34 met US-35 on the north end of the Winfield Toll Bridge with a short concurrency to Red House.  After the relocation, WV-34 met US-35 on the south end of Winfield Toll Bridge with a bit longer concurrency to the Winfield Locks and Dam.  Locals still call it the Winfield Toll Bridge, but there was an uproar when the WVDOH used that term during the rehabilitation of the bridge that was completed in 2010.  The public still needed to be assured that the tolls were gone for good.  At the other end, the locks have since been relocated inland, so the term "locks and dam" is also old-fashioned.

New Mexico has NM501 and NM502 that intersect in Los Alamos.

Excuse the double post, but I actually came across this case some time ago. KY 3396 and KY 3397 northwest of Louisa. I don't know if there's one higher than this but I came across this one coincidentally a long time ago.

So far, I believe that's the winner.

Sum = 6793
Keep right except to pass.  Yes.  You.

There must be at least 3 winners and I can make a case for there being as many as 192. However, it may be difficult to find a numbered street to numbered street interchange with consecutive numbers. Sacramento, for instance, has quite a few Numbered Street/Numbered Avenue *intersections* with consecutive numbers in the "South Area", but I am personally aware of *ANY* interchanges.

I personally don't, for instance, know of any "2nd Street" or "2nd Avenue" interchanges, junctions, or intersections with CASR-1. If such there be, my guess is that they would be in Long Beach.

Here's a visual aid for the highest pair of consecutive routes in Illinois to intersect.  It's a very close-up photo, because I took this when I was 15.

To be clear, we're talking about numbers a and b such that a+1=b, and a (or b) is maximized...right?

Fun fact about those 3000-series Kentucky routes -- back in the 1980s, the state took over a bunch of roads that were formerly maintained by the respective counties. The routes tend to be clustered by county, with larger clusters by districts. My county has KY 3330, 3331, and 3332. That results in some occasions where they intersect, such as the Menifee County example I named and the Lawrence County example that was posted via Street View.

Government would be tolerable if not for politicians and bureaucrats.

I thought they were also connector roads or temporary designations as well.

For Colorado, near miss of CO370 and CO371 which are in the same "cluster" but don't actually intersect.  (CO368 and CO370 do, but one away).

For the 2-way winner, it's US87 (unsigned) and CO88 which are concurrent through Centennial.

For a 3-way intersection like US 89's above: US85/CO86/US87 (unsigned) in Castle Rock.

For state highways only, it used to be CO73 and CO74 meeting in Evergreen before CO73 was decommissioned.  Now there are none.

Chris

They need to somehow extend Kipling Street into Windsor then 391 and 392 would intersect
clinched:
I-64, I-80, I-76 (west), *64s in hampton roads, 225,270,180 (co, wy)
