NLEX initially used a mismatching mix of "Interstate", a font based on the FHWA "Highway Gothic" series, and the aformentioned one, before switching to Univers Bold, and then "Arial Black". What a waste! What they should have done is use "Clearview".

I noticed the directional arrows. In the U.S. especially when revising the MUTCD for 2021, it should be a useful idea for freeways / expressways, of which the upper deck of the Bay Bridge on the San Francisco terminus has it, along with Interstate 280 intersecting with CA SR 1 in Daly City. The only difference I see on the directional arrows are that they are proscribed by the Vienna Convention on Road Signs and Signals, of which the Philippines has been a member of it since 1973.
