I've heard there are several still around.  Since I leave in about 36 hours for the Indy meet, where can I find some of them?  (Are they all pre-1991 or whenever the change happened, or are some newly erected by the city?)

your job to figure out the exact location.  it's like a game of "name that infrastructure element"!

There's a wealth of them on SB Livernois Ave. between M-102 and M-10.

Dan, are the ones you refer to cutouts?

there are these two as well ...

a construction error.  wooden shield!

also an error, but looks to be intended to be permanent:

I have no idea where they are, but I remember going eastbound when taking the photos.

There are two US-10 shields around that I have seen. One's at 8 Mile Eastbound approaching Livernois, and the other's on Westbound Davison at Wyoming Avenue.

can you get photos?  US-10s are always good to see, even if they are not cutouts.  I'm nowhere near Detroit so I can't do it myself ...

Steve (AlpsRoads) is going to be in town next week.  That might be as good a time as any...

By the way, there is still at least 1 old school cutout US 10 shield (along with vintage I-75 (MI) shield) on EB Trumbull immediately before the SB I-75 Service Drive.  There might still be one (old cutout US 10 shield) on the NB I-75 Service Drive north of Trumbull, but that I'm not sure about.

Dan, I saw those in April, 2008... the link I posted was to them.  Just in front of Tiger Stadium.

yeah i live right off that discommised duplex of US-10 and I have not seen any evidence, that would be cool to see the duplex on my daily commute, more signs = more power

I miss them old white-on-black wooden Michigan signs!!!  It took until the early-to-mid-80s to convert most of those BB(lack)Ss to BGSs -- at least in SE MI.

there are a couple of black signs floating around still ... I forget where this one is but I found it in 2006:

Appears to be in Evergreen Shores just north of St. Ignace.  W. Lant Rd. SB at/just past the I-75 SB onramp from the BL.
