I'm sure this doesn't qualify but I think they should either change Highway 134 to a county highway or it should be expanded. The road itself goes all the way to Waterloo. I know it changes to County O in London. Personally, it would be smarter to make it a county highway.
It is the most useless state highway in Wisconsin hands down. I never understood why ones that were much longer like 163 were axed yet 134 to this day is still active. London isn't even incorporated and who ever goes there?

I mean you are absolutely correct, but it just isn't about those things. It should be, but it's about funding.

STH 134 has existed with the same termini since 1923 (although at that time, US 12/18 were STH 12/41). I say leave it alone.
Someone important back then must have lived in London. I get that feeling with NY 990V also

London was where the train station was.  So using a state highway to connect it with Cambridge, was at the time was a pretty big tourism destination, made sense.  Why it is around 100 years later, doesn't make much sense.

My question is, if someone stole the WI-134 signs, would WISDOT replace them? Probably not.

Believe it or not WISDOT actually had a project a few years ago to flatten curves and add paved shoulders to Wis 134. Not only is Wis 134 still around, WISDOT invested a decent amount of money into it.

Can add County C between Fox Lake Ave US 151 over Wis 68. Driving on US 151 it seems that there's always cars waiting at that intersection and WISDOT is going to work on that intersection in a few years per the projects page. County C provides a direct connection to US 151 while Wis 68 goes into Waupun making it a slower route. Another add to Dodge Co. that already has Wis 26/County A that is frequently discussed.

Every state's gotta have a useless route here and there.

Are there any plans to extend it to I-94 in the long-term future?

:) Needs more... :sombrero: Not quite... :bigass: Perfect.

There are no concrete plans to do that in the near future, but I guess I can see the day when they need an exit between WI-73 and WI-89.  Although we are talking at least a couple of decades.

As for investing money into the route, that is oftentimes WIDOT SOP when they are considering decommissioning a state highway.

Strangely, that makes some sense. It's a lot easier to get locals to take over responsibility of a road which won't have any significant maintenance issues for several years.
