Why would one want a Rand McNally state atlas, when DeLorme's much superior product is available?

Maybe because DeLorme's product didn't exist for most states 20 years ago?

And those where it did haven't been updated since.  At least NY hasn't.

And, on the West Coast, alternatives as the Thomas Guide PNW and California exist, along with Benchmark's state atlases. Pity the TG PNW now uses RMN's symbology; at least the coverage detail is the same as before... unlike RMN Texas or The Carolinas :rolleyes:
