Title: Manchester's Motorway Dreams

This map, courtesy of Sabre Roads (https://www.sabre-roads.org.uk/wiki/index.php?title=Manchester), is just crazy. And apparently, by the 70s, they had cleared most of the Right of Way. But they never got the money to build all these roads so by the end of the 80s, the ROW was built over.

That density is insane... and it's hard imagining a European city needing the majority of such a network!
