I drove out to Palm Springs a couple of weeks ago, taking CA 60 through the construction in the Badlands area east of Moreno Valley. Further east, the I-10 pavement is being rehabilitated in the Cabazon area, which looks to be resulting in some big westbound traffic jams on the weekends, although it remains 4 lanes each way through that section. The westbound section uses a crossover lane that splits from the other 3 lanes and runs in the eastbound lanes for around 7 miles into Banning. On the way back, I got caught in a very slow moving jam at Cabazon, which was made worse from the traffic from the Morongo Casino, and decided go back a few miles and take the crossover lane instead. A real mess at the Morongo Trail (used to be Apache Trail) exit, which is a dual roundabout interchange and was vastly overwhelmed with traffic. I finally got through both loops of that, went east to the I-10 interchange at Haugen-Lehmann Way, jumped back on the westbound I-10 and took the crossover lane which avoided most of the jam, at least in this case. YMMV
Here's a video of the eastbound trip, showing the CA 60 construction and some of the I-10 work:

BTW, the signs at the CA 111 interchange look to be newly replaced, and "other Desert Cities" remains as the control for I-10 east. And in Beaumont, the old sign for the CA 60 exit from westbound I-10 has replaced, so no more US 60 sign showing under the CA 60 shield.

And yet another iconic reminder of the old DOH falls! That sign at the WB I-10/CA 60 split had to have been one of the oldest porcelain/button-copy still hanging around (probably from 1962 or so!) -- although there are quite a few older signs scattered around D8, particularly on I-215 (especially between CA 60 and I-10) and CA 91. Something to see the next time visiting the area!
Even those are getting replaced. I have photos of many of them but they're steadily disappearing.
Drove through last week. The Theodore St exit on the west end has been renamed World Logistics Center Parkway and the old button copy signs have been replaced.
