In Asheville, NC the expressway heading out of town to the north carries US 19, US 23, US 25, US 70. Its is also technically Future I-26, but everyone just calls the road I-26.

I know we've done this before, and I'm sure someone else will link to it before too long.

There is a segment of I-65 that carries 7 other highways.  Will be 8 when I-69 from Bloomington to Indy is finished.
Indiana: counties 100%, highways 100%
Illinois: counties 100%, highways 61%
Michigan: counties 100%, highways 56%
Wisconsin: counties 86%, highways 23%

Phoenix used to have concurrency of US 60, 70, 80, 89, along with AZ 93.

One big concurrency I used to encounter was US 17/92/441 near downtown Orlando on Orange Blossom Trail.

Ran into US 84/431, AL 210, AL 52 Truck in Dothan last year.

In Utah, there is a quadraplex of I-70/US 6/US 50/US 191, but none of the US routes are signed.

All the routes on I-465 around Indianapolis.  'Nuff said.

Unless there's been some major US re-routes in the past few years, the towns of Folkston and Hawkinsville, Georgia have 7-way concurrencies.

Fort Wayne, Indiana once had an 8-way overlap. Can't find the photo, but it was from the mid-1960s.

Also a bit nutty...but the overlaps join and leave different exits on I-465 (at least, for now).

Edit: grammar and spelling

But that stretch of I-465 between exits 46 and 47 technically carries, like, eight routes IIRC.

Kentucky has US 23, US 119, US 460, KY 80 and KY 1426 in Pikeville, which for years I thought was the largest number of concurrencies in the state.

But I believe now, after having driven through there last year, that it is equalled by US 41, US 68, KY 80, KY 107 and KY 109 in Hopkinsville.

Government would be tolerable if not for politicians and bureaucrats.

When I saw this thread, the first thing that came to my mind was the Athens Perimeter (limited-access) in Athens, Georgia.

Sure enough, I found this here on Wikipedia:

https://en.m.wikipedia.org/wiki/Georgia_State_Route_10_Loop_(Athens)

Quote
Between exits 4 and 8, there is an eight-highway concurrency, consisting of US 29/US 78/US 129/US 441/SR 8/SR 10 Loop/SR 15/SR 422 (counting the unsigned SR 422). This concurrency comes second in the American record of most highways in a single concurrency. The record holder is Interstate 74 (I-74), Interstate 69 (I-69), I-465, US 31, US 36, US 40, US 52, Indiana State Road 37 (SR 37), and SR 67 in the Indianapolis, Indiana metropolitan area.

The Athens Perimeter comes in second place, and first place is the I-465 Beltway in Indianapolis.

Now alternating between different highway shields for my avatar - my previous highway shield avatar for the last few years was US 76.

The most routes I can find on one road in Michigan is three:
BL I-94/BUS US-131/M-43 in Kalamazoo
US-31/M-37/M-72 in Traverse City
US-131/M-66/M-72 in Kalkaska

If we're going by state, NJ s pretty sparing with its concurrencies, I-95/US 1/US 9/US 46 approaching the George Washington Bridge is the most. I don't think there is anything else greater than 2 routes unless it involves county routes. Even then I don't think so.

One variation that I've found:

Just outside Halifax NC, a road briefly carries four three-digit routes (US 301, NC 125 / 561 / 903).

Wonder if there is a quadraplex in MA.  I can think of triplexes, like US 5/MA 10/MA 116 or MA 2/US 3/MA 16.  Probably is a four route one somewhere out east.

Among routes and systems plotted in TM, all of the 8's and the only 9 are on I-465 around Indianapolis.  The 9-route segment carries

I-465,I-69FutInd,US31,US36,US40,US52,IN37,IN67,US421

This assumes that "Future I-69" counts for purposes of this discussion.

Here are TM's 7-way concurrencies that aren't also on I-465.

That's a good question.  Outside of silent concurrencies like 1/1A or 3/3A concurrent with other routes, I don't believe there are any in New England.

I know MA has some expressway triplexes such as I-93/US 1/MA 3 (the Southeast Expressway from Boston to Braintree), I-95/US 1/MA 128 (from Canton to Dedham) & I-95/US 3/MA 128 (Burlington).

Near Newtown (Bucks County), PA; a stretch of the Newtown Bypass has a triplex, PA 332/413/532.

In CA (pre-'64, of course) the record was 5 designations on one stretch of freeway: I-15, US 66, US 91, US 395, and CA 18 on the N-S freeway through central San Bernardino between the 5th Street entrance ramp (where US 66 "got on") to the East Highland Ave. exit, where CA 18 departed; a stretch of a little over a mile.  It got down to 4 when CA 18 was truncated at I-15 in 1961.  Tied for 2nd would have been the Pasadena Freeway (nee' Arroyo Seco Parkway) between the Four-Level and the Ave. 26/North Figureroa left exit in the Glassell Park section of L.A.; it carried US 6, US 66, US 99, and CA 11; all but US 66 departed at the Ave. 26 exit.  And, between 1959 and 1964 completed freeway sections of I-10 between Beaumont and Indio also carried US 60, US 70, and US 99.  Those "sign salads" were part of the rationale for the radical (and some may say horribly randomized) 1964 renumbering effort -- with the "one road/one number" sentiment prevailing within the Division of Highways at the time.

Here is the list of I-465 around Indianapolis.  I am going to use the SE Corner just north of the I-74 exit and north of the US 52 exit, since I think that has the most roads piggybacked.
I-465 (future I-69)
US 31, US 36, US 40, US 421, US 52
Indiana 67, Indiana 37
I don't think other than the interstates, no other roads are regularly posted on the loop.  You just have to follow the signs from the road that you were leaving, and hope that you catch the sign for the road that you wish to continue on the opposite side of the city.

I forgot about that one but while going through GSV, I noticed that there's no signage along I-195 westbound indicating that Exit 2 (for US 44 West) is also for US/RI 1A southbound as well.  While that concurrency is indeed there; it's very inconsistently signed.

You forgot I-74, which follows 465 around the south side. I believe it is currently the only route signed along the concurrence, until 69 is finished.

only the interstates are signed on 465, all the us and state routes just have signs saying " *insert highway here* follow i-465 to *insert exit number here* i think the only exception is us 36/sr 67 on the east side, they forgot to put the signs back when they widened the road back in the day. and the one for fort wayne was i believe: us 24/30/33 sr37/14/1/3 maybe? i had the picture you're referring to i found it somewhere, I've since lost it.

US-40, US-50, CASR-160, CASR-16, US-99, CASR-70 were all carried by the W-X freeway in Sacramento at one point. I am not sure that all of the US-40 signs had disappeared when the I-80 signs showed up.
