I got it a few minutes ago. It popped up immediately, unlike other times where the spinner goes around for several seconds before connecting to the link.

^ It could have also been AI imaging. "Please give me a Peanuts cartoon with Charlie Brown mourning the death of Lennon."

My wife has been playing around with a free service (I know, you get what you pay for) to get some pictures for church presentations. She asked for a realistic picture of Jesus in a manger. The baby had a beard.   :-D

Minor now, but gradually increasing.

Photoshopped images online.

Two very recent examples:
FB posts announcing Shohei Ohtani signing with the Dodgers -- showing Shohei Ohtani in action in a Dodgers uniform (he just signed there an hour ago -- to my knowledge no such picture exists for real yet, unless he was modeling uniforms but I find that very dubious).

Yesterday (anniversary of John Lennon's death), a 1950s-1960s era Peanuts cartoon (with Patty (not the same as Peppermint Patty) and Charlie Brown) with Charlie Brown's head down. Caption said something like "Missing Lennon". I had some arguments on FB with people about this -- didn't understand why I had a problem with it. To be clear, I agree with the sentiment, but the caption was clearly photoshopped in, since the cartoon is from way earlier than Lennon's death. If Schultz didn't draw it this way, I have a problem with it.

I know these two particular examples are unimportant. But it could happen with much more serious matters (it probably already has). So now, one has to look at every picture with a critical eye.

The 2023 Bowls are now set.

The "Duke's Mayo" Bowl?  The "Pop Tarts" Bowl?  This has gotten out of hand.
I agree. I prefer referring to the Bowls by their traditional names. Tangerine, Citrus, Cactus, etc.
I will do whatever it takes to drop the corporate portion of name when saying it.  Irritant that ESPN and all their employees are forced to include it whenever they refer to a bowl game.
Some of these games are so new that they never had a traditional name.  What are there, 43 bowl games now?

^ Every route variant, either going from I-80 west of SLC to I-25 south of Denver, or from I-84 northwest of SLC to I-70 east of Denver, shows I-80 to I-25 being at least 20 minutes faster than US-6 to I-70 across Colorodo.

I believe this is because TxDOT is trying to push the completion of I-69E between I-37 and Brownsville entirely.

I heard this an hour ago, still trying to process my feelings.

Happy for Ohtani, he gets to stay on the West Coast which is where I thought he always wanted to be.

But this blows up the free agent market like no other deal has.

I was very curious about Runza for a while. I ate at one last month on my way home from a job interview at a location in Lincoln, and it was actually quite good. Now I want to go back!

The Rockford-Madison sign mentioned upthread was replaced by a Rockford sign at some point in the last decade, so Madison is back to being unused unless I missed a sign somewhere. It leapfrogged Toledo in population though.

New signs from Rockford north to Wisconsin use Madison as a control city instead of Wisconsin. Here’s an example at the Business US 20 ramp.
