Most routes that all cross each other?

What is the largest number of routes that all cross each other?

Crossing with an overpass/underpass without an exit is allowed. (So are overlaps and one route ending at another.) Also, this can be worldwide; it is not limited to the United States.

My best is 9 routes, in two (or three) different ways.

Set 1:

US 1
US/MA 3 (considered one continuous route)
MA/NH 28
I-93
I-95
MA 110
MA/NH 111
MA 113
I-495 (MA)

Set 2:

MA 9
MA 16
US 20
MA 30
I-90
I-95
MA/RI 126 (yes, it reaches I-95)
MA 135 (MA 140 can be substituted instead)
I-495 (MA)

Remember that every route must cross all other routes!
Clinched, minus I-93 (I'm missing a few miles and my file is incorrect)

Traveled, plus US 13, 44, and 50, and several state routes

I will be in Burlington VT for the eclipse.

The easiest way to do this is find an 8-way concurrency and a road or two that crosses it. Some of you will think I'm cheating, but I've got 10:

I-465
I-74
US 31
US 36
US 40
US 52
US 421
SR 37
SR 67
I-70

On that note, you could potentially replace I-465 with I-75 if you count SR 37 and SR 67's extensions into Ohio as two continuous routes. You could also include pre-1970s US 27.

This is surprisingly fun. Nice thread.

Here's a bunch with 7:

US 20, US 26, US 30, US 85, US 87, US 287, US 385

US 20, US 26, US 30, US 85, US 87, US 191, US 287, US 89* (20 and 89 only connect in the middle of Yellowstone where they don't actually exist)

US 87, US 89, MT 200, US 191, US 12, US 287, I-90

US 87, US 89, MT 200, I-15, US 12, US 287, I-90

US 20, US 87, US 89, I-15, US 12, US 287, I-90

I-20
U.S. 80
U.S. 79
U.S. 71
LA 1
I-49
U.S. 167
U.S. 165
I could probably find a better one but this was a first try.

TheCatalyst31

All eight Interstates (39, 90, 94) and U.S. Routes (12, 14, 18, 51, 151) through Madison, WI form one of these - though you have to go all the way into Chicago for I-94 to touch US 14. I-43 is a near miss for 9, since it comes within a few miles of US 51 in Beloit and touches all the others.

Locally, I cab think of
I-95
I-80
I-287
US-1
US-9
US-46
Garden State Parkway (and GSP Extension in NYS)

also, look ma, no multiplexes:
I-295
NJ-38
NJ-41
NJ-70
NJ-73
NJ Turnpike

Every day is a winding road, you just got to get used to it.

I'm not sure what you're looking for here, but for KY 30 and KY 11, which meet in Owsley County, there are:

US 460
Mountain Parkway
KY 15
KY 52
KY 1114
KY 28
KY 846
US 421
KY 577
Hal Rogers Parkway

That makes 10 roads that intersect both those routes.

Or does every road in the list have to cross every other road in the list?

Government would be tolerable if not for politicians and bureaucrats.

roadman65

I think he is looking for routes that cross literally on grade separated intersections.  I think he may be looking for one linear route that has many crossings of other highways.

Lemme try one from memory:

I-70
I-71
I-75
OH 6
US 23
US 27
US 33
US 35
US 40
US 42
US 52
US 68
US 127
OH 3

There might be one or two more I can add, but I'm not sure. I already removed OH 41 because I don't think it reaches US 6, but it could be added back if US 6 actually doesn't meet all the others somehow (Cleveland?).

EDIT: I-71 doesn't meet US 6 in Cleveland. OH 41 doesn't meet US 27 or US 127. US 23 doesn't meet US 27 or US 127. This contribution needs work.
Wait, it's all Ohio? Always has been.

CtrlAltDel

I have nothing to contribute here that will come anywhere close to being interesting, but I was wondering what the highest number of all-Interstate mutual crossings would be. So far, the best I've got is 69, 75, 80, 90, and 94.
Interstates clinched: 4, 57, 275 (IN-KY-OH), 465 (IN), 640 (TN), 985
State Interstates clinched: I-26 (TN), I-75 (GA), I-75 (KY), I-75 (TN), I-81 (WV), I-95 (NH)

I was trying to think of something in Ohio with all the diagonal routes, but couldn't come up with something as thorough as above.  Well done!

US 130 doesn't touch NJ 41.  But you could substitute US 130 for NJ 41 and it would work.

Also in you can substitute US 30 for NJ 70.

US 130 does not touch NJ 70  either. NJ 70 ends at NJ 38.

Trying again:

I-71
I-75
US 27
US 35
US 36
US 40
US 42
US 68
US 127
OH 3

Okay, now I'm pretty sure all these intersect one another. I've got 11 routes here and I can't think of any more that intersect all of these.
Wait, it's all Ohio? Always has been.

Yes, I believe that's the premise.

Can US-62 be added to this group?

Nope, it parallels US-42. I'm trying to find more that fit, but US 52, US 22, and US 33 are out.
