Somehow it's been balmy the last couple of days in Missoula, but, this cold snap is long from over. It's 37 for now, but it will drop to single digits above zero again tonight. Another cold snap will come Friday, then yet another one on Monday lasting into next Friday with a forecast low of -3. If my count is correct, that'll be about six or seven of these cold snaps already for the '22/'23 winter season.

I would characterize it as rare here, too. Not in the state as a whole (valley fog is quite common in the Southern Tier, Central NY, the Hudson Valley, etc), but certainly north of US 20/west of I-81, where we generally get just a handful of days per year of area-wide fog.

Yep, it is heading your way. We had a dusting of snow this morning (not the first of the season here though) but it's switched back over to rain.

This pretty much sums up this cold snap, and it will be a long one. Where I am, my area is under that 70% bracket, which means that the wind chills could go down to at least 15 to 20 below zero, and even bitterly colder the further east you go past Bearmouth.

One of our typical overnight June squall lines seems to have accidentally showed up six months late. There are reports of flooding in the OU campus area.
