Sorry Gonzaga fans, as a Patriots fan I know how it feels.

Do you though?   It's not like Gonzaga has actually won a championship before.

Maybe, more talking about the undefeated season thing.

I still can't believe they haven't won a championship. Gonzaga is probably the first thing that comes to my mind when it comes to good college basketball teams. besides Duke of course  :D

Also, I'm proud that the Jackson State Lady Tigers made the tournament even though we got knocked out the first round. It was our first appearance since 2008, and before that 1995.
Just a reminder that US 6, 49, 50, and 98 are superior to your fave routes :)

Well, at least my Bruins were pretty good for a change, getting as far as the Final Four before losing to Gonzaga.

Congrats to Baylor for winning its first-ever men's basketball championship!
Go Cubs Go! Go Cubs Go! Hey Chicago, what do you say? The Cubs are gonna win today!

Gonzaga is just a northwestern version of Wichita State with a little more staying power in terms of relevancy.

Saw lots of folks commenting on their schedule and how they got to be undefeated by not really playing anyone. Not sure whether that's true or not, but it's reminiscent of when undefeated Wichita State lost to eighth-seeded Kentucky several years ago.

Gonzaga usually loads up their nonconference schedule to compensate for being in such a weak conference. A lot of nonconference games got cut this year, but they still managed to play (and of course, beat) Kansas, West Virginia, Iowa and Virginia.

Butler, Witchita State and Loyola all played sustained tournament success into a step up to a better conference. That may not be possible for Gonzaga given their location.

If the Mountain West allows basketball only members, Gonzaga could foreseeably provide a boost to their status as a conference. The Mountain West typically lands 1-2 at large bids, and the addition of a good basketball program could easily increase that along with their conference strength of schedule. Meanwhile Gonzaga being in a slightly more major conference would give them better competition in January and February before the tournament.

If Gonzaga was in the Pac-12, they would have won most all conference and tournament titles over the last several years.

We all thought the play-in series would be a one-time only thing for the NBA (which is inspired in part by the NCAA's play-in games before the March Madness tournament), but given its success in last year's bubble, it's being implemented again this season and will apparently become permanent in future seasons. I, for one, am cool with two more teams being given a chance to get into the 16-team playoff field, but not too sure on other's thoughts on this (I hear Stephen A. Smith isn't a fan of it).

It makes the season more exciting for mediocre teams, but there have been some truly awful 10 seeds (especially in the east).

There's lots of discussion about LeBron vs. Jordan, and LeBron is somewhat of a lightning rod for non-sports comments.

I just wonder how he would have fared against the Bad Boy Pistons? Jordan just went to work harder. Bill Laimbeer would have have had LeBron crying for his mommy.
