Way back. Same way to deleware, then 95 through willmigton, us 322 to 295. (Rush hour means unorthodox route) then nj 73 (I think) nj turnpike, 287, 95, Connecticut 8, 15, l-91, l-84, mass pike.

Why are using a lowercase l instead of a capital I in "l-295", "l-91", and "l-84"?

Note that MD 295 doesn't intersect any I-295. Probably an intermediate route was involved, such as the BW Parkway?
