Oh boy... what have I gotten myself into...

Hello from Atlanta, GA, the land of low speed limits! I've been lurking for a while and I thought it was time I dropped in. I've been a roadgeek for quite a while and recently discovered this place. I'm not sure what it is about highways... I just love the speed, the feeling of freedom, and the incredible amounts of engineering that go into them. Anyways, I thought I'd leave a little gift: my first arrow-per-lane BGS, a redesign of the (pretty bad in my opinion) signs leading up to the I-285 and I-85 interchange on the north side of Atlanta.

I'm a gamer as well, TF2 and Smite are taking up most of my time right now. My favorite interstates have to be the ones I've been on in Minnesota. It's been a while, and I can't remember the route numbers, but there's something about Minnesota's interpretation of the MUTCD that just really struck me. Though, my favorite highways in the world are the Bundesautobahnen in Germany. I've never driven on them or been to Germany (or Europe for that matter) but I just love the ides of an unlimited speed road, and there's something about blue signs that I just like.

Edit: I've also taken to designing a highway system for my fictional country. I'd be happy to post some signs if y'all want.

Also, what's Alanland?

Great job for a first attempt! Lane spacing needs work, and it's a little cramped, but for your first attempt it's fine.

Don't worry.  Five more pages and you'll get and loose track of the discussion and non-discussion at and not at the same time.

I can't tell the discussion from the non-discussion anymore. I have no idea what in Alanland is happening and not happening in that thread.

I guess you could say...I do and do not understand Alanland.

Teaching or not teaching on or off the subject?  It is or is not Alanland, of course (not).

I can usually discern what Alanland English is attempting to say, but I'm completely lost, mate.

I too recently found myself questioning what Alanland was.  A Google search turned up this documentary on Youtube:

Now I understand.
