Wondering what the longest distance is along an interstate between junctions of other interstates.  I'm thinking it's either I-5 between I-505 at Dunnigan, CA and I-105 in Eugene, OR, or I-90 between I-82 in Ellensburg, WA and I-15 in Butte, MT.  Anything out there longer than either of those?

I-94 East of its west end?  I-194 in Bismarck is unsigned...

According to Wikipedia, this stretch would be 598.7 miles over which the only Interstate sign you would see is an I-94 sign.
Main Line Interstates clinched:  2, 4, 5, 8, 10, 11, 12, 14, 16, 17, 19, 20, 24, 25, 26, 27, 29, 30, 37, 39, 43, 44, 45, 55, 57, 59, 65, 68, 71, 72, 74 (IA-IL-IN-OH), 76 (OH-PA-NJ), 78, 80, 82, 86 (ID), 88 (IL)

I-80 between I-580 in Reno and I-215 in SLC is 512 miles, longer than both of them.
And you may ask yourself, where does that highway go to?

Almost nothing very long on the east coast. Wonder what the longest is.

It would be I-95 in Maine at about 200 miles between I-295 and the Canadian border.

Does I-10 hit anything besides I-19? I took the bus from LA to Austin (via San Antonio) and don't remember actually seeing a junction with I-8, I-17, I-20, or I-25. It looks like the route of I-10 must get close to all of these, but I certainly missed all of the I-junctions. It's a long way from Tuscon to Las Cruces and event further Van Horn and Fort Stockton.

It appears the longest east coast distance may actually be in Florida...

On I-95, there's about 236 miles of interstate-free interchanges between I-4 near Daytona Beach and I-595 in Fort Lauderdale.

That appears to be just slightly shorter, at around 210 miles.

Ketchup99

The longest in the Northeast might actually be I-80 in Pennsylvania. From exit 19 (I-79) to exit 212 (I-180), there's no interstate junction - a distance of 193 miles. I-99 is served at exit 161, but it technically terminates just south of the interchange, meaning it doesn't count. If not for the tiny I-180, the next interstate would be I-81 at exit 260 - a whopping 241 miles.

In Michigan, it's I-75 between Saginaw and Canada (240 miles).

Virginia:
I-64 between I-295 west of Richmond and I-81 near Staunton - 87 miles

North Carolina:
I-40 between I-240 east of Asheville and I-77 near Statesville - 99 miles

mgk920

For Wisconsin, it would be I-94 between I-90 (Tomah Interchange) and the Minnesota state line, 146.  Adding the short continuation to I-494/694 in Minnesota, it would be just under 160.

I was certainly TRYING to sleep some of the way from El Paso to San Antonio, but it is possible that we weren't on I-10 the whole way. I was trying to be very much awake between Phoenix and El Paso (daytime leg) because I had never been in New Mexico before. I was expecting Wily Coyote and Roadrunner and some unusual rock formations to show up. Nothing like that on I-10. On I-10 Eastern Arizona, New Mexico, and West Texas all pretty much look the same. If any of that exists, it's not on I-10.
