The detour was originally set up to use US 52 north into Ohio and then into Kentucky, but now it's just between the US 23 and KY 180 exits. They're trying to get two-way traffic established in the eastbound lanes. This was apparently in a construction zone and the area has had a lot of rain the last couple of days.

Government would be tolerable if not for politicians and bureaucrats.

The detour will remain in place for at least another day. Crews are building two crossovers to allow for two-way traffic in the eastbound lanes. As it is now, westbound traffic has to detour via US 23 north to US 60 west to KY 180 south.
