Title: Chevron Gore Markings Appearing In Texas:
Post by: In_Correct on April 27, 2018, 12:34:23 PM
If there is only one thing I do not like about Texas roads, it is the \ shaped Gore Markings. They should be V shaped.

But where Interstate 35 split there is one V shaped gore marking. The other one nearby is still \ Shaped.

Both:

Oklahoma uses the slash gore markings too. I am not sure why; it seems like chevrons make more sense.

Chevrons definitely make more sense, but hatching is faster to place, especially along curves.

Arkansas seems to chevron by district. District 4 is special, because they both do and don't on parts of I-40 and the surrounding OK area.
