This project will span both interstates' bridges over the Trinity River, as well as the part of the Mixmaster where the 2 interstates meet.  The $$$ is available for a $700 million cost, but could eventually reach $800 million, and take 5 years to do.  The I-30 bridge is supposed to be re-designed by Santiago Calatrava (who designed the Margaret Hunt Hill suspension/arch bridge on the nearby Woodall Rodgers Freeway extension), but no news as to whether the I-35E bridge will have any design elements like the I-30 or Woodall Rodgers bridges.
