My cars certainly don't feel like home away home for me, even when I sleep/camp in them.  At best they might be a temporary space I inhabit but none them feature enough household amenities to replicate the feeling of permanent domicile.

No, they don't feel like "home." Am I more comfortable driving one of our own cars than I am driving a rental car? Absolutely. But they don't feel like "home" to me (and I have not slept in the car since sometime in the 1990s, not counting times when I've been on the verge of falling asleep at the wheel).

"That sounded stupid, didn't it?"

I never sleep in my car either. However, it is my "headquarters" whenever I go on long road trips, since I store all of my essentials in it.

That sums it up for me as well.
Interstates clinched: 4, 57, 275 (IN-KY-OH), 465 (IN), 640 (TN), 985

Sure didn't feel like home the last two days when I was camping.  The tent more or less did feel more home-like.

Nope, not at all. I have a better time sleeping on my bed (or any hotel bed, as another example that isn't a home away from home) than on my car's seat.
