Since Jeremy Dewitte just got in legal hot water again this year, it begs the question: what is the deal with him? The most recent has nothing to do with police impersonation, since he was forced by court order to dissolve Metro-State Special Services. But many of the legal troubles over the years are related to impersonating a police officer (with the bodycam footage on YouTube on Real World Police). It has me asking "what is the deal with this guy?" because of the amount of times he has had run ins with the police during the years, ranging from things such as police impersonation (which was one of his first criminal offenses, because he flashed a police explorer badge at a gas station when his card declined, even though he was 18 and the age to get into such a program was 19) to domestic violence (slamming his extramarital girlfriend's foot in a door and throwing a phone at his wife's head) to failure to register (one of such was for not registering a vehicle with the FDLE), throwing chairs off a balcony in Chicago (claimed to be a police officer and even claimed to be a veteran), parking in a border patrol spot (escalating to yelling at people he called security officers), even parole/probation violations for things such as not taking down his YouTube channel and having police equipment in his personal vehicle at times. It begs the question: what is the deal with this guy?

I have no idea who this guy is, but he reminds me of someone you'd run across at the casino.

It's quite the rabbit hole.

And people say we don't need three-strike laws.

At least the guy his a wikipedia page, further confirming the screwed up standards there of what makes someone famous enough to merit one.

Yep, this guy deserves a page, but there are people crying that state highways need to be deleted.

More on this later today.

Speaking of that page, it was slated for deletion at times. Wiki changed their mind every time.

Also: His brother, Dylan Vogt, was arrested for similar reasons, after instigating an incident where he called 911 claiming that a motorist hit him with his car, when in reality he was banging on the hood of the guy's car while he (Vogt) and Dewitte yelled at him. The motorist was initially arrested and charged, but a search warrant for Metro-State's offices discovered a different story once they got to the video, which clearly showed Vogt instigated the whole thing, faked the report that the driver hit him, and even impersonated a police officer (the other guy was arrested because Winter Park PD thought Vogt was a police officer). Of course, the wealthy real estate developer, Jerome Henin, sued Vogt and the funeral home that hired Metro-State.

At one point, he mentioned when he was on Dr. Phil that he was facing up to 85 years in prison, and just as he got home, he was arrested again, this time for failing to register a new address with the state because he didn't tell the Orange County Sheriff's Office that he would be leaving the county to go to Los Angeles to go on Dr. Phil, violating his bond conditions in the process.

I've seen a few videos of this guy before, to me he just seems like the type of person who wants to be a cop in order to have authority over other people. After it was obvious he was never going to become one, he found the next closest thing he could and started his funeral escort business. I don't think there's much more to it than that.

And he even claims to be a veteran. Essentially stolen valor, and him claiming to be a veteran crawled up the skin of every active duty veteran that heard of him. The man has the statute that protects some actions memorized, and misspells his name on his uniform so people that he confronts won't find him under the name on the uniform (J. Dewitt) therefore hiding the fact that he is a registered sex offender from funeral home owners and people he confronts. He claimed he was a cop on several occasions. Tampa Police don't believe him, but the Chicago Police do after the chair-throwing incident. Because of the state funeral escort statute, he often says he's a state agent, and that his company is a state-certified agency to people he confronts, something Vidler would use against him when he was pulled over for not having insurance on one of his impersonation fleet's vehicles, along with what appears to be red lights/lights with red lenses on the vehicle. And his bodycam: It came back to haunt him-NOT-he claimed in the interrogation room that it wasn't his voice, even though his reflection appears on several occasions in the car windows.
