CA 1 south from I-280 to CA 17

Took CA 1 along the coast along the Santa Cruz Range this morning from I-280 to CA 17....well really CA 152.  Checked out the Devil's Slide along with the Tom Lantos Tunnels:

I have my suspicions about various older alignments of CA 1, especially at the Pigeon Point Lighthouse.  I checked out Mission Santa Cruz for the hell of it due to the association with the El Camino Real

Finished the road blog on CA 1:

I thought it was interesting to find out that 1 used Pedro Mountain Road before the Devil's Slide.  Some of the older alignments of 1 south of Half Moon Bay are far more inland than might be expected.
