Is Nebraska the next Wisconsin?

I noticed lately that in some parts of Nebraska mainly around Lincoln they are switching their traffic lights from horizontal to vertical. Is this a long term trend? If so it will be interesting to see of New Mexico and Texas follow suit.

There are a few places in TX that have verticals also.  But it's really a mixed bag.  There are even some intersections with both.

Seems like a saw some over Memorial Day, but I can't remember now.
