U.S. Route Marker With 'United States'

Does anybody know if there was ever a state that had the words "United States" spelled out in the top portion of their U.S. Highway marker shields?  It seems to me that I came across something like that once - I think it might've been on Robert Drosz's old website (which is gone).

Did any state ever do that?  Can anyone find an online link to an image like that?  I was thinking it was down south somewhere but I'm not sure.
