Looks like someone has a false stereotype of White Castle, LA... (look at the left side of the screen)

Not streetview, but plenty enough for this thread.
How is there not a White Castle in White Castle?

Boring answer is White Castle doesn't exist in the south/southwest.  Out in Texas, the White Castle market is covered by a joint called Krystal's.

CoreySamson

I don't think I've ever seen a Krystal's in Texas. The furthest west I think I've seen one was Mississippi.

Not sure if they are still there, but there was one on I-410 in San Antonio just north of Culebra, and there was one in Killeen.  I don't remember where exactly.  When I say there was one, I mean I saw them within the past 10 years.  Now, Austin used to have a few Krystals, but that was like 30-35 years ago.

Our friends in Mexico drove to Torreón yesterday to buy some lumber, and I was following their GPS track out of curiosity.  Along the way, I found this GSV imagery.  Is this a common sight at gas stations near you??   :-o

Uh... no. That's really weird. There's not even any cars at the pumps, and only one in the lot.

kphoger

I just texted him about it.  He joked that it was their pastor's idea (who was along with them because he's the one who will be using the lumber) to stop there, then he immediately felt guilty for joking like that.

I guess I'm confused. Even if they did stop at that gas station, the Street View is over six years old.

Yeah.  It was a joke.  It's not even a Pemex anymore.

What do pastors even have to do with any of this? All I see are a bunch of women.

Fixed the link.

(In all seriousness, my guess is since that post is from 2010, that Google has re-imaged the route since then, so that the original link no longer shows anything particularly hellish. Unlike mine.)

I dont get this. What does this have to do with craziness?

Correctly fixed the link to the original image that was in place back when the original post was made.

I only vaguely remember the OP shot as it was originally.  What I remember is not apparent in any of the "fixed" links.  It was all whacked-out imagery, which has apparently since been removed or replaced with something else.
