^ Look at the tall sine tree behind the overheads.  New York is known for this, especially the one in Batavia for NY 5, NY 33, NY 63, and NY 98 along with Thruway trailblazers.
I don't need a GPS.  I AM the GPS! (for family and friends)

While looking for another photo, I found a few more helpings of sine salad.

This is gone now, and even if it was still up, it would be incorrect. The plan to route the US highways on New Circle Road and out of downtown Lexington fell through. The US 60 markers on the overheads at Winchester Road and New Circle, which had been removed, have been replaced.

I think this is gone too.

The discussion of I-381 made me hungry for some Virginia sine salad (not to be confused with Virginia baked ham).

Btw, after lookin at Google Maps, this is located in Concord, NC.

That west truck 73 is redundant, and the south truck 601 probably is too (this is one of NC's business/bypass splits with no mainline).

And you have SR 73 TRUCK both east & west going down the same piece of pavement.

It's an implied 'to' - if you're driving a truck on US 29 south and want to go east on 73, you go straight. 'truck route to 73 east' would be more correct but wouldn't fit the salad bowl.

That Carolina assembly has been severely reduced in size, from what I've seen on Street View.

According to the pic I posted, there was a total of 10 signs. As I looked at the assembly on 2014 street view, there is now a total of 8 signs: https://www.google.com/maps/@35.432772,-80.6043116,3a,75y,237.99h,78.75t/data=!3m4!1e1!3m2!1sOsjTDJohlBF1QjDeUbr_1A!2e0

I went back in time to find out the latest known time of when the previous assembly stood. The current assembly first stood in the 2012 street view, making the latest known time of the previous assembly standing in 2009, according to the 2009 street view: https://www.google.com/maps/@35.432773,-80.6043111,3a,75y,237.38h,80.71t/data=!3m4!1e1!3m2!1sd9nLKf7G2jx3ZO06DnuKTw!2e0

That means it was replaced sometime in between 2009 & 2012.

So apparently this is an older photo I have come across, heh.

That one annoys me since it is somewhat misleading. US 431 and US 72 should get TO banners instead of directional banners at the Drake Ave intersection.

I mentioned that over in the Erroneous Signage thread already. It's not the worst mistake though as it does lead you to the highways that are specified. Also, I believe this is one of the few locations where AL 53 is signed while it is duplexed with US 231.

And if you want to fit in with the locals in Toledo, you must pronounce Nevada Avenue as Neh-VAY-da! ;)

A little salad from Glens Falls, NY. Pan around and move along the road to see the amount of signs crammed into the area. US 9 between the Hudson River and I-87 Exit 22 and intersecting roads are full of salads.
