USVI 40 at 0.05 miles, and on the mainland it's a .08 mile section of ME 191.

Mine would probably be KS-27, at about 2 feet going across the border.

MATraveler128

I-195 in Fall River where it’s concurrent with MA 24.
Decommission 128 south of Peabody!

Lowest untraveled number: 56

GaryV

M-212, about 3/4 of a mile.

Shorter, former M-209, less than 1/2 mile.

SR: MD 201, about 0.6 miles between DC 295 and the US 50/MD 295 interchange
US: US 136 for about 1 mile west of the IN 63 interchange. When we got lost one night coming back from Wisconsin, and ended up staying in a roadside motel somewhere in that range that night  :-D
2di: I-69, about 4 miles between the I-94 interchange and the Canadian border
3di: I-670, about 1 mile between the eastern I-70 exit and the I-35 exit
New US route for me...

US 75: 0.5 miles between I-30 and Elm St.

fillup420

I have been on I-39 for a grand total of 1.1 miles, from its southern merge with I-90 to the exit at US 20 Business.

kirbykart

Bump.
I have only been on I-490 in New York from the western end to Exit 1, which is like maybe 1/2 mile.
For NY 36, I have only been on the tiny portion concurrent with US 20A/NY 39. According to Wikipedia that distance is only 0.14 miles.

NWI_Irish96

I've never kept track of the random places I've exited interstates for gas/food/hotel. I'm sure there are several routes that I've been on for < 0.25 miles, but of everything that I've tracked, the full 0.25 mile length of IN 520 would be the shortest distance. The 0.30 miles of KY 212 between KY 20 and the outer loop ramps of I-275 is a close second.

My policy for TM is that I will count the route I used to access fuel/food/rest stop adjacent to the interstate if a) I used an entire loggable segment, or b) I used part of a loggable segment that's less than 1/2 mile in length. I would also be prepared to log a longer segment as a placeholder if I needed the route number for "lowest route number you haven't been on", such as if I ever made such a stop on a route 47 or 68 (which I'm currently missing).

webny99

My shortest logged segment in Travel Mapping is easily the 0.02 miles of MN 292 between its western junction with US 61/63 and E 7th St. I used that tiny segment essentially to turn around/backtrack on E 7th St due to missing an earlier turn.

Of course, MN 292 is only 0.48 miles in total, which leads to the very odd situation of my having been on less than 5% of a route less than a mile long.

This means the route shows up as red under "routes closest to clinched". I've wondered if I'm the only one to have a red route in that category (most are obviously blue/green due to being close to clinched, but in this case, 0.46 miles is not close to being clinched in percentage terms!)

The one I remember, without diving into my TM statistics, is about 100 feet of Nebraska 121. That was between Nebraska 12 and the first gas station driveway, which I used to snap a photo of the Nebraska 12 and 121 signs.

I did not dare make a point request for that driveway.

Less than 1000 feet of MN 106, 139, 238 and WI 105 and 243; I think MN 238 in Albany is my shortest one. I thought it might have been the tiny 300 foot concurrency ND 66 with ND 20 south of Munich, but I remembered ND 66 also has a two mile concurrency with U.S. 81 that I've driven on.

Roadgeekteen

Not super short but I've only been on I-40 on the I-85 concurrency. Will likely change in a couple of weeks.

VA-205Y, clinched at 0.7 miles.

Yesterday, I went on VA-42 in Bridgewater for about 550 feet, from Mount Crawford Ave to the entrance to a McDonald's.

I think I have a new one: I've been only on the part of IL 108 west of the ferry. About 1/10 mile.

I've been on NY 373 from US 9 junction to the first intersection. NY 373 is only about 3 miles long to begin with. There's a road in Indiana that I think was numbered. Not too far from Indianapolis on I-65 to the NW and I only went from the interchange to the Arby's right there. Similar situation on I-55 in Gardner, IL and the SubWay there, and another similar situation on I-79 in Slippery Rock, PA and a SubWay.
EDIT: The PA one is PA 108. The IN one is IN 32. And the IL one is IL 53.

I walk out on IL Route 71 to get my mail a few times a week. I traverse maybe a foot of it along its length when I go on the pavement edge to open the mailbox.

LOL, I have been from one end to the other, driving.
