Title: Interchange at I-65 (KY) MM 30?
Post by: Interstate 69 Fan on January 03, 2017, 09:40:46 AM
I drove to Florida for vacation, and on my way back, I took I-65 through Kentucky. And at mile marker 30, I saw a trumpet interchange is being built, just north of Exit 26 for KY 446 west to US 31-W. Anyone know what this is for?

It's called the Transpark Connector and is designed for access to an industrial park north of Bowling Green.

This connector was not partially being built as part of either I-66 or the 'Bowling Green Outer Beltline?  Based on http://transportation.ky.gov/Planning/Planning Studies and Reports/2 Proposed Interstate 66 - Appendix_A.pdf (http://transportation.ky.gov/Planning/Planning%20Studies%20and%20Reports/2%20Proposed%20Interstate%2066%20-%20Appendix_A.pdf), the connector would appear to be very close to the location at least once considered for the Beltline.
