You're welcome, I think?  Or maybe thank you?  I'm confused. 😊

(guessing it has to do with my Minnesota knowledge, an area you're also familiar with)

He was doing research for his book, Maphead.  IIRC, we (the forum and the "roadgeek community") warranted a chapter.  I'll have to look again when I get home.

Depends. Two totally different lists if we're talking subject knowledge vs if we're talking humor.

And another list if we're talking non-people (starting with Google Maps, obviously!)

It's a tie between all of them for first place.

Haha!  Which quote was the salient one?  "Put a sock in it, boy"?

I have no expectations of making this list.  :bigass:

Keep right except to pass.  Yes.  You.

The beginning part when he asks which is the worst fraternity and Marmalard replies, "That would be hard to say, sir. They're each outstanding in their own way." (Compare to your remark: "It's a tie between all of them for first place.")

Oh, yeah, that would make sense.

Put Niedermayer on it, he's a sneaky little shit just like you.

I have to agree with these two just for the epic third Caterpillar War along the Great Goat Bridge of I-366.  The Magically Land of Destiny is a well that only keeps on giving.

On a more serious note there is several people I would give as a legitimate answer that I follow on Facebook or their web pages.  If this thread takes a swing towards being serious I'll opine with some legitimate mentions.

I didn't know what the thread was about, based on just its title. For all I knew, it was a discussion about Robert Moses and Bud Shuster.

Robert Moses, I could see here.  Bud Shuster?  Is he really roadgeek's favorite road person?

There are naturally certain people (roadgeeks - but of course this applies to everything) who have been particularly influential and inspirational to me, but I agree with the above sentiment that listing such would be at a disadvantage to all who are not listed. I do not aim to pick favorites and hurt those who are not picked - so I will simply say that the roadgeek community as a whole has been truly very special to me.

There's nothing inherently wrong with making lists in this thread, I am just explaining why I feel I personally cannot do it.
Now alternating between different highway shields for my avatar - my previous highway shield avatar for the last few years was US 76.
