Title: Control Point Error
Post by: austrini on May 25, 2009, 07:23:08 PM
This really bothers me,  in a very anal roadgeekery way.
TxDot changed the control point for northbound US 75 at its signed beginning (at the junction of IH 45 and IH 30 near downtown Dallas) last year. It used to be Sherman, a regional center near Oklahoma but they changed it to McKinney, a suburb about 35 miles away. However, they didn't change all of the signs. The control points coming north on US 175 are still Sherman, as are all of the signs along the side streets.

So ... Sherman

then immediately McKinney
