I'm surprised there isn't a dedicated thread on this. This part interchange is being completely reconstructed and ODOT has been doing it in phases over the last decade seems like.

CURRENTLY THERE IS CONSTRUCTION TAKING PLACE AND I'LL ADD MORE INFORMATION HERE IN A MINUTE.

But ODOT Just requested federal funding to complete this project which they now say they plan to start in 2026. Extremely frustrating as I recall, the entire thing was Supposed to start construction before Covid. This project just keeps getting pushed back further and further. I was under the impression the remaining phases were going to be let for bid in 2025.

That would be when the current project wraps up. Right now I'm gonna go through the eight year plan and confirm whether or not that really was the case.

Here's a link to the federal grant request: https://i-40section1.transportationplanroom.com/

The interchange is planned to be a partial Cloverleaf with two flyovers. And my opinion, it should just be a fully directional interchange with no cloverleaves at all.

ODOT has completely redesigned their website and it sucks. I can't find much of project pages anymore. This is about all I could find on this project for anyone that was unaware or wants to see it.

Here's a link to the Google map overview it doesn't show much because it's a bit outdated but currently construction is taking place on the northwest corner: https://maps.app.goo.gl/U8wPPaFKu9sFQBSM8?g_st=com.google.maps.preview.copy

They had a flyover video that I was going to post on YouTube, but for some reason they made it private.
