This one, which is unfortunately locked:

That whole "rivalry" never became a thing FWIW.
That thread is certainly an interesting reread.  Especially this bit:

If there were a true need to mass-delete posts, it could be done with a fairly simple SQL query (something like 'drop all from table POSTS where USER_ID = 336' or so). But we tend to not mess around with the database directly due to the risk of unforeseen consequences, and the above-mentioned thread integrity issues.
That certainly turned out to be prophetic.

I'm honestly surprised he wasn't the first to test those waters given how he much he apparently wanted his account deleted.

To paraphrase our fellow member triplemultiplex: "you said it, you can't un-say it"

One can do their own clean-up at their own discretion; to at least make it seem that everyone else had merely put words in your mouth. Had that at another forum whereby the user went back and cleaned out about half of his 20,000 posts. That's what happens when everyone else discovers a prevaricator whom would make Baron von Münchausen take notes.

I had to smile at that one, given who user 336 is.

When someone used one of his images on Facebook the response was quite different.  Rather than go after the person who was posting said image he went after the groups who were at the time unaware there was a copyright.  I'm told there was a "misunderstanding" with how to deal with Facebook copyright issues but it resulted in a lot of good highway groups become really cautious with post approval.

The issue on GN I had stemmed from how I credited the Ridge Route Preservation Organization on our Ridge Route corridor blog.  My baseline understanding was that I didn't credit specific people.  The thing that irked me was that I provided my email to hammer out the issue but the individual in question chose to be insulting instead on several blog replies.

The takeaway for me is that this individual perceives insults, lack of respect and slights where none actually exist.  Seemingly what happened here fell into a similar category.

Poiponen13 should become a soccer ball.  I think this is needed.

As vdeane suggested, Poiponen13 should approach Putin about Russia getting rid of territory.
He can do that while being a soccer ball.
While giving him a header?

I would agree with you. The Great Lakes and Plains regions are subregions of the Midwest.

But someone's subjective feelings don't override objective reality. If someone from Pennsylvania tried convincing me they lived in the South, I wouldn't be out of line to tell them that they are factually incorrect.

One difference between his plans and mine is that I keep the red white and blue interstate shield on the entire network. Instead of autoroute 87 I keep the interstate shield into Quebec, for example lol e

Gaviota Pass has slide and sewer issues that keep the two rest areas closed. NB is currently open, but who knows how long that will last.

https://www.edhat.com/news/caltrans-announces-gaviota-northbound-rest-stop-now-open/

Caltrans has formally announced the northbound Gaviota Rest Area is now open following a major renovation to its wastewater and electrical systems.

I knew I wasn't pulling the sewage thing out of my rear end.

[ Must refrain from snarky comment ... ]

It is very difficult :)

That can be fixed by adding more fiber to the diet.
