that is about 50 feet to the side of current US-11.

Is this the one near Enterprise? I saw it a couple years ago   :)

Quote
where is the one in Vicksburg?  I've never seen that one, though I've been there a couple of times.  The US-80 bridge across the Mississippi river is recently abandoned, with the I-20 bridge serving both routes.  I don't have a photo of it online currently.

It's on Fairground St, off old US 61. Goes over the railroad yard.

found another abandoned bridge in viscksburg ms. it's a swing bridge too!

This is the Ditch Road Bridge in Saginaw County that collapsed due to an ice storm.

Another Saginaw County bridge. This one is still intact but long abandoned.

Close to ten years ago, I did many entries on my blog about a bridge located on a small road that was open until the 1970's, and then was replaced by the Gerin Road, a more modern one.  That old road connected two villages in the Mauricie region, St. Justin, and Ste. Ursule.  The blog entries are in French, sorry about that.  But the pictures are in the language you want.

Here are the links; once there, just click on the pictures for larger views.

The first one shows the bridge itself, and the surroundings.
https://richard3.net/2010/03/23/la-route-gerin-1-lancien-pont/

The second one shows the roadway from St. Justin to Ste. Ursule as it is now.
https://richard3.net/2010/03/24/la-route-gerin-2-de-saint-justin-a-sainte-ursule/

The last one shows the same roadway, as of now, but in the other direction.

Weird.  Google will translate it to English for a second, and then it goes back to French.  The owner of the webpage does not want it to be translated.

I am the owner of the webpage; is there something I can do to make that translation work?

You don't "find" bridges on Bridgehunter. I love Bridgehunter, but it is sort of like cheating.

Apparently danthecatrafficlightfan "finds" them on Google, though...

You mean to tell me that going out and actually seeing abandoned bridges (or, failing that, at least seeing good pictures someone else took) is way more interesting? No way! ;-)

Yeah that sounds like a decent idea to not make this thread a lockable affair.
