Agreed.  I'm counting 666 (obviously I'm not that high yet) since I drove US666 when it was still signed as such.

I'd go ahead and count the 107 if I were you. At the time, you were on a numbered route, and the number it carried was 107, even if it no longer carries that number. But that's up to you, of course.

I also concur. I used to claim 16 from a route I traveled as a toddler which no longer has that number, before finding out another road that both carries that number currently and I remember I've been on.
Supporter of the construction of several running gags, including I-366 with a speed limit of 85 mph (137 km/h) and the Hypotenuse.

Please note that I may mention "invalid" FM channels, i.e. ending in an even number or down to 87.5. These are valid in Europe.

My friend Paul and I were discussing this topic this weekend.  I think the lowest-numbered route I haven't been on is 107.  I almost said 98 but then discovered that I'd been on a brief stretch of U.S. 98 in Florida that's duplexed with FL-60.

I will say that Michigan used to have a state highway numbered M-107, and I had driven on it, but that route was decommissioned at some point over the past 10 years or so... so I feel as if I need to find another route 107 somewhere in order for me to be able to count it.

M=107 was in the NW corner of the UP and was decommissioned in 2008. If you're certain you were on it you should definitely count it. If not, there's an OH 107 in the NW corner of Ohio, so not too far away. 107 happens to be my lowest missing number as well and at some point I'll get around to getting OH 107 (and OH 108 which is near 107). Once I hit those, I will be counting the since-decommissioned IN 112 as I know for certain I drove it while it was still signed.
Indiana: counties 100%, highways 100%
Illinois: counties 100%, highways 61%
Michigan: counties 100%, highways 56%
Wisconsin: counties 86%, highways 23%

A.J., like the others before me I would go ahead and count it.  You can truthfully say, "I have in the past driven on a road with the number 107".  Not your fault is was decommissioned.

I had that same issue with 46. I then realized that on numerous occasions in the 1980s I had driven what is now I-195 into BWI Airport, which was numbered MD 46 at the time.

Although I am planning a trip to catch MD 135 (my lowest untraveled) - and since part of WV 46 parallels part of MD 135 (opposite side of Potomac River), I may just grab it and remove any doubt.

Nah.  You guys should have to run around reclinching stuff.

Reminds me of the I-94/I-41 duplex.  I have clinched I-94, but not I-41. :/

By the way, on that trip, we drove on a section of M-153, so my new number is 168.  :)  I have like 5 other numbers missing below 200.

I actually think I'm going to follow the advice that a few other folks shared and acknowledge 107 as a route number I've driven.  Even though M-107 is no longer a highway in Michigan, I did drive it when it was current.  The number I'm going to go with is 148.  In looking through my travels, I don't think I've ever driven any route 148.

Funny to me.  For just under two years, I probably came close to being on IL-148 every single day.

From travels the last three days through central Mississippi and northern Louisiana, the lowest-numbered route I haven't been on is now up to 511. Both of those areas are treasure troves of state routes in the high 400s.

I'm unlikely to pick up a 511 soon, so my count will stay as is for awhile. The state I'm in and the next one (Texas and New Mexico) have 511s, but too much of a detour from my current itinerary. Most likely next chance for me to snag a 511 on a future trip will be in northern Ohio.

The lowest numbered route that I haven't been on has increased from 125 to 135.

I do have a road trip planned to get MD 135 in western Maryland in the near future, leaving the next target at 142.  That one may take a while, since to the best of my knowledge, the nearest one is VA 142 in Petersburg - a bit far to go without having another purpose for the trip.

And it looks like oscar is getting serious about pulling away from everybody!

If you are passing anywhere near the Kentucky-Tennessee border along or close to I-75, then you could snag KY 511. It's located in Whitley County and runs between KY 26 and US 25W, with a bridge that crosses I-75. If your trip home takes you along I-40, then detour via I-75, exit at Williamsburg, re-enter I-75 at Corbin, and head back home via I-64, I-79, and Corridor H.

That's the kinda funny thing about this game. There are few people here who have never been on a 9, and yet I'm on 9 half the time I leave the house. Likewise, I'm sure there are some folks from the northeast who scoff at me for having never been on a 93.

Talking about people upping their game...  I was planning a road trip late last fall that'd take me to a Highway 28, but it got cancelled due to the Situation and impending winter weather.

There's still a Washington 28 two and a half hours away, but that's a little far for me to go without another reason for the trip.  A few weeks ago I was thinking of heading that way for the vaccine, but then I found an appointment a lot closer.

I'll need 456, 477, 479, 499, and 504 to surpass Oscar...so it will be a while! By then, he might be comfortably in the 600s.

After all, he has roughly pi times more mileage than me on Travel Mapping...
