N.Y. Times: Transit Veteran Is Picked to Run the M.T.A.

Gov. Andrew M. Cuomo has chosen Thomas F. Prendergast as the chairman and chief executive officer of the Metropolitan Transportation Authority, the governor said Friday.

Mr. Prendergast, a veteran transit executive who has served as the president of New York City Transit, was named the authority's interim executive director after the former chairman, Joseph J. Lhota, resigned last year to run for mayor of New York City.
